The Arts is an important curriculum area at Avalon Intemediate. We are proud of the skills our students have when performing and provide different opportunities for students to develop and share their learning in this area.  

 

 

 

KAPA HAKA

Whaea Patrice, Whaea April-Roses and Matua Jordan work with our the school Kapa Haka roopu - Te Ara o Motutawa. 

 

 

 

POLY CLUB

Our Poly Group is run by Miss Musuvā and Mrs Makisi on Wednesdays. Students are working together to learn about the Pacific through cultural performance.

 

 

 

ARTS PROGRAMME

In Term 3 our students are able to select which arts groups they would like to be part of; drama, dance and music. Teachers work alongside students to provide meaningful lessons and aim to include students in the planning and delivery of these lessons where possible. 

 

 

 

LANGUAGES PROGRAMME

Our languages programme runs in Term 2. Students select from a range of languages that are offered and attend these lessons on Friday mornings for 45 minutes. The languages available include Spanish, German, French, Samoan, Cook Island Maori and Tongan.
