2027 Enrolments
We would like to invite you to experience Avalon Intermediate School for yourself at our Open Evening on Thursday 13 August, 6:00 pm.
We are also holding an Open Morning on Thursday 30 July, 9:30 - 1:30, where Year 6s can try out our technology subjects and spend some time in our classrooms. Let us know you're coming here.

2027 Enrolment information
The Board invites applications from parents who wish to enrol their children at Avalon Intermediate School for 2027.
Enrolment at the school is governed by an enrolment scheme (see map below).
Applications can be made online or by picking up an enrolment pack from the school office.
The deadline for receipt of applications for out-of-zone places is Friday 11 September 2026. Parents of students who live within the home zone should also apply by this date to assist the school with planning for 2027.
The Board has determined that 15 places are likely to be available for out-of-zone students. The school also operates an approved special programme, Akomanga Reo Rua, and expects around 5 places to be available in the programme for out-of-zone students.
If the number of out-of-zone applications exceeds the number of places available, students will be selected by ballot. If a ballot is required, it will be held on Friday 18 September 2026. Parents will be informed of the outcome of the ballot within three school days of the ballot being held.
